Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Pens are lacking their usual firepower these days and the Jackets are taking advantage, getting a little revenge for what happened the first time they played this season.

I wish Columbus was in the East so these two could play more than twice a season. I think a good rivalry would develop. Of course, having them in the West let's me root for them as my second team. A Stanley Cup final between the two would be awesome.

the CBJ are now 26-22-5 with 57 points after 53 games.

Calgary is sitting in 8th place in the West with 61 points after 55 games. Theoretically, if the CBJ win two more games without Calgary playing the CBJ would be ahead due to having 1 more win (28 to 27)

Because the West is so crowded this year, while the CBJ are only 4 points back right at the moment, they are actually in 12th place, being one point behind Chicago, two points behind Minny and 3 points behind LA. To expand it further, the difference from 4th place San Jose (64 points) to 14th place Colorado (56 points) is 8 points. In the east the difference between 4th and 14th is 30 :yow1:

It's going to be fun to watch this shake out unless they fall apart completely.

ok, they've won 3 in a row, they are at home, both teams are coming off of a back to back.

It's February 9th and this is absolutely a MUST GET A POINT GAME. If they get a win that would show that this little recent 3 game winning streak isn't just a dead-cat bounce either.

Clitsome has an awesome shot. Second PP goal of the night for the Jackets.

They're playing like a team that could make some noise in the playoffs. They need to keep this up.

I thought I saw something Saturday night in this team but I kind of dismissed it because Edmonton is so bad.

they are playing with a serious edge right now. finally. After pussy-footing around for most of January, they've fired it right back up.
