Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Didn't get the game here because the Cavs loss was on all the FSO channels :shake:

Honestly I'll take a point in Vancouver any day...that's one tough team to beat on the road. Points in these road games are OK, I'm happy with a point in these Canada games, it's the home games the remainder of the month they had better start getting some deuces, because they are on the road for almost all of January.

eventful first period

3-2 Oilers

Juice has both goals for the CBJ

Jackets outshooting 24-12....the first goal Edmonton got should not have happened....terrible play by Mason and the D

You kinda got the feeling after that 3rd goal that Mason and the defense both said "Well damn, here we go again"....

Khabibulin kept his team in the game through the barrage in the first period. Mason needs to learn how to do that himself. He is not seeing the puck very well and unlike Garon, the puck isn't finding him either.

Mason probably played his way out of significant playing time between now and the trade deadline. I can't imagine that Arniel is going to let his 1st season as a coach go down in flames on Mason's shoulders.

Worst offciating I've seen in quite some time. Jackets should have at least gotten a point out of it last night.

They had NO legs in the 3rd and Garon was awesome.

Garon is the starter from here on out or something is wrong.

EDIT That said, this team needs to get its collective head out of its ass. They are gradually heading back into the basement of the league after a very strong start.

Playing 9 on 5 is a bitch. That goal that was waived off was the absolute worst call I've ever seen at a hockey game and that's pretty damned bad.

They completely dominated the first but failed to put one home until the very end of the period. I think the shots were like 10-1 at one point. This team will get no further than lower-half of the West unless the scoring picks up in a hurry.
