Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

I've been out of Ohio for the past 30 months or so. Anyone know what the attendance has been like this year?

I'm a huge Jackets fan and go to their games whenever I can...just was wondering because there's always been buzz about them moving or not having the support in CBus. I remember there was a frenzy of bandwagons a couple of seasons ago with the playoffs, but haven't heard much since.

It's been terrible. Less than 10k (out of 18k+) on a couple nights.

Yep. It's bad. They need to keep winning and push for the playoffs.

But I don't think the Jackets are going anywhere. It's a better hockey market than Phoenix and the NHL is bending over backwards to keep the Coyotes there. Too good of a hockey market here, despite low attendance numbers right now.

The Jackets are the greatest team of all time, apparently. Except that one goal they let in. :shake:

Sucks to hear that man. I hate that. Columbus is really lucky to have a pro franchise seated right in the center of one of their most up and coming districts. If they make another run...or perhaps a bigger run, it could help immensely.

Thanks for responding though! If I were back in the 'Bus, I'd hit at least 10-15 home games for sure. Bummer. The Stars (since I'm closer to Dallas) have a pretty decent following it seems.
