Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Wow you may know football but your knowledge of hockey is embarrassing bro!!! You're prolly right, Texans are bigger hockey fans than the people in Toronto, Detroit, and Buffalo.

Come talk to me when the 'jackets' win a playoff game.

Dumbass :slappy: I'm a Red Wings fan, hence the shot about Hasek having to leave Buffalo to actually win a Cup.

Look at what I actually said and get back to me. I don't remember saying that Dallas was bigger than Detroit or Toronto :slappy:

Keep laughing, I'm sure Montreal or Pittsburgh or Philly or any one of a number of Eastern Conference teams will be laughing when "you" are in a playoff series with them :slappy: :slappy: :slappy:

Ok the sabres are the worst franchise and the worst team in the NHL despite being atop their division. Friends?

Why? This is so much more fun.

Certainly more fun than what Buffalo had Saturday night :p

no doubt but it gave Team USA goalie Ryan Miller a much needed rest

We don't have trouble filling up our arena or looking for a bailout (Buffalo a much worse economy BTW)...just sayin'

I'm a Pens fan, so you can bash the Jackets all you want.

Others here can vouch for me - have been a fan since I signed up here, have proof that I was at a game in '97. Just so I'm not labeled a bandwagon fan.

But I was just having some fun anyways. I didn't expect this to get serious. Kind of glad it did, it's funny.

Six NHL teams to open 2010-11 season in Europe

Six NHL teams will open the 2010-11 season in Europe, the fourth straight year the league will begin play overseas.

The NHL announced on Tuesday that the Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, Phoenix Coyotes and San Jose Sharks will combine to play a total of six games in Europe at the start of next season.

The Hurricanes and Wild will meet in a pair of games in Helsinki on Oct. 7-8; Columbus plays San Jose in Stockholm on Oct. 8-9; and the Bruins and Coyotes face off in Prague on Oct. 9-10.

I figure these guys would be moved (if they can find someone to take their contracts)..

Torres, Commodore, Modin, Huselius, Garon.. uhhh.. I think that'll be it. I think they'll keep Umberger and Klesla.

I've heard that Pittsburgh is coveting Umberger or Torres. I think if Umberger moves it'd have to be an overpayment. I think Torres is more likely. Probably worth a pick or a prospect, maybe both depending on the quality.
garon will not be traded. (barring some sort of availability of a legit 1b in a multiplayer deal)
