Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

he showed what he learned playing for the pens, should have just stepped up, taken a bunch or two and flopped to the ice, crap like that is why the instigator rule is bogus. make a guy own up to his own stuff, itll cut that crap out.

I can remember on multiple occasions the Pens' superstars fighting. Malkin even almost got suspended for it.

I'd compare this more to Sean Avery, who has started shit on far more occasions than he's actually faced his retaliation. I recall multiple turtles, multiple times of him skating away.

Scuderi was being a pussy though. And I like him. The whole situation really bothered me on every level. If Crosby or someone would've pulled what Scuderi pulled I wouldn't have been happy about it.

And if anyone brings up Crosby's "slash" in the playoffs last year, I would argue that you're more of a little bitch than Rob Scuderi was last night.

Malkin was so NOT going to get suspended for that shit last year it's funny you think he was going to be.

I mean if Malkin gets his rightful suspension for game 3, maybe Detroit wins that one and takes the Cup. Which would have completely fucked the NHL network's plans for "Sid And Stanley" that they keep fucking running as if anyone is actually watching it. :shake:

my point was that he skated away, wrong or right, it was probably smart. scuds is better than dorsett, 2 goal lead in what mid way through the first? nothing good comes from that from the kings pov. the pens are notorious for walking away (as are other teams like the wings) from situations like that and burying the other team by tickling the twine.

the still shot solidifies my thought about rule 49.

I agree that he wasn't going to get suspended, I was just bringing up the incident that he was fighting and the idea of him being suspended was being discussed. I don't think I was ever too concerned that he was going to get suspended.

I'm glad he didn't, partly because he's Evgeni Malkin, but partly because I'd rather see both teams playing with all the healthy firepower they could. It could've been Hank doing the same thing and I'd not have wanted him suspended.

The Sid and Stanley thing makes me want to puke. Which is sad.

I don't have a problem with anything you said other than the shot at the Pens.

You saw my feelings on the cheap shot. I was rooting for a Bertuzzi-like incident after it.

I think Filatov is making a strong case for more ice time. He's looked pretty good to me the last few games. Just had a beauty of a pass to Vermette, but Vermette didn't do much with it.

The Jackets do look better tonight so far. But it's hard to look worse.

EDIT: Apparently Hitch agreed, given the fact that he's playing on the second line.

EDIT: Yeah, Filatov looks REALLY good in the offensive zone. The talent is dripping off him.
