Jack Edwards is an idiot. Hell he couldn't even stay employed at the four-letter. That's bad. But what do we really expect right? This is a guy who has an orgasm when the Bruins score when down 5-1.

He makes people Dookie V seem unbiased and even-handed when calling a Duke/SC A&T game.

Diving > what he said

Can someone make a Crosby-like gif of Jack Edwards crying?

I wish I was good enough with photoshop to do it.

Tonight's game IS NOT on FSN.

Here is a link: Blue Jackets-Blackhawks Preview - NHL - Yahoo! Sports

And yes that is perfectly legal. Comcast Sports made it available to Yahoo for internet streaming.

The boss just came in and told me it wasn't on FSN. I confirmed with the newspaper and proceeded to swear a lot. I came on here to bitch about it not being televised and you've provided a link to watch it online. You have my gratitude, as well as my boss's.

Jackets up 2-0 at Chicago (Vermette, Huselius) after 1 period.

While we're piling on Jack Edwards, I never liked him as a commentator, even when he was calling a ton of hockey games on the old "Deuce". But the moment when my dislike turned to disgust was during the 2002 World Cup when he exclaimed "Mine eyes have seen the glory!", at the conclusion of the US/Portugal game. Not that it was necessarily a bad line, but the way he delivered it was so premeditated and fake, I was sure he was trying to imitate Al Michael's call from the Lake Placid US/USSR hockey game. Call me crazy, but I'll take Gary Thorne and Bill Clement over any hockey crew I've heard recently. Corny, yes, but still solid commentary.

While I was typing this, the Blackhawks scored, 2-1.
