I thought the no-call on modin was right. Modin looked to lose his balance before the Pred touched him and seemed to slide into defender a bit making it look worse than it was.

The Russell penalty looked like a no-call to me, too, though. Lifted the stick that just happened to throw 22 off balance.

their was contact before he entered the screen. did you see the nashville version? that being said, i wouldnt have personally called either and really cant say id be offended if they called both of them. neither of those calls decided the game. granted a few missed high sticks here and there... but still. they got outworked, if you get outworked, dont convert on a long 5v3, lose your board battles and get smacked around on draws the night isnt going to end well.

I know they missed a high stick that resulted in Williams getting cut.

That would have been a 4 min. power play correct?

Not that it would have mattered seeing as they can't even get into the offensive zone during 5 on 3 advantage.

Missed another where Nash got clipped and possibly another where a Pred took one. The tv guys called it a high stick, but I thought it may have just been the puck.

I can't say that I watch every game and know every player because I am more of a round ball fan. However, when I have watched the Jackets games the past week or so it certainly seems to me like they don't come out with much intensity for a team who is fighting for a playoff berth and seeing the upcoming schedule they could have traded for Gordie Howe and I will bet that they still did not make the playoffs. Hitchcock needs to break out his dictionary for his hockey team.

Off-topic sort of but what the hell is wrong with FSN to interview the coaches during the game. Don't they realize that these guys have something more important to do then being interviewed during a game. Mobile 3 games ago they were interviewing Hitchcock during the game which I had never seen before and the almost looked annoyed. Well, I guess you can scratch the looked because he finally said "I have to go" and took off his head set. Talk about minor-league (FSN):sick1:

About every other night since the AS break the underdogs just abuse the fav's in the NHL. It's just one of those things.

They play down to their competition, no doubt about it. That said, when they are on they are the best in the NHL, hands down. Their offense is scary good.

Now if Philly can hold on to that 2-0 3rd period lead at home vs Nashville it will really be a good night.
