Colorado Buffaloes (official thread)

Not sure what this thread is about anymore, but I used to drive an '84 Vette.

My brother's closest friend in high school drove the Pontiac version, the T1000. I remember him saying it could only do 55MPH if you dropped it out of an airplane.

74 Pinto here. Two liters of oil-burning double-digit horsepower, but I was glad to have it. Saved me from riding the bus.

I forgot to mention the best part. As a 16 year old d-bag that wore a lot of Starter jerseys/jackets, I loaded my '84 Chevette with a powerful amp and two 12 inch and two 10 inch subwoofers. I truly was THAT GUY.

Had one of those too. A 76. AFTER I owned the Vega!. The absolute worst P.O.S. car I ever owned though was an 84 Renault Alliance. When AMC was building them. Still had the "Motor Trend Car of the Year" sticker in the back window. I called it "The Appliance" because it sounded like a washing machine getting ready to explode. Entering an expressway on a ramp that went uphill was always an adventure.

It was like AMC ran out of sheet metal after they made the front end and seats, then said, "Fuck it, just seal it off and hope no one hits us in the ass end!"
Ah yes. Can't forget the "roller skate".
The scary thing is they actually built a high performance edition of that thing that had a 401ci V8 in it. The Gremlin 401-XR.

First car was a 74 Pinto with a vinyl roof. Best friend got a Vega which he outfitted with a gear shift changer that had an LCD clock on it. For senior year, I did get a European Capri 2 though: 4 speed, manual crank sunroof and a 2.8L V6 built in Cologne.

Not me...pulled off the web, but that was my car...white, tan interior, GHIA version.
