Colorado Buffaloes (official thread)

must have been a late 90's thing.

my boss back then had a '65 Shelby Cobra.

Body was a kit.
Engine was a brand new crate 427 Side Oiler
Rest of drive train was from a '97 Mustang Cobra

but he told everyone it was a '65 Shelby.

Note: I drove that car around the dealership where we worked. To this day, that is the only car that ever scared the shit out of me. It knew only 2 speeds. Stopped at Idle, and pin you back in your seat with your hair on fire. There was no 10mph move through parking lot option. it was AWESOME!
My boss totally built that engine and the body was real. Or so he said, and I never knew him to lie about anything - especially cars.

my boss paid us (with beer and Scotch) to do all the work but told people he "built it":slappy:

but I got to drive it (never on highway), and his other toys after hours and weekends when we were working on his stuff.

My high school buddy had a 68 Shelby that had been wrecked. He replaced the 428 cobra jet with a 302 boss (289 small block with 351 Cleveland head). Terrifying car to drive! As I recall he paid $3k for it.

man that lil car jumped off the line!
at around 130mph felt like whole thing was going to come apart.

one of those cover bands even calls themselves "Lynyrd Skynyrd"

there is not a single living member of the band that made that album.

but they promote themselves and tour as if they are actually still that band.
Made me think, wouldn't it be awesome if Dave Grohl took the Foo Fighters on tour and performed Nirvana songs while calling themselves Nirvana?

Good for Deion…..wish more people would treat the press this way. Would force the corporate centers to act more responsibly. Not that anyone is watching or using it much anymore anyways…..
Lol. You're so far up his ass you can check him for colon AND throat cancer.

He's throwing a wah baby fit because they didn't rank him as ZOMG THE GRATEST EVAR. That's not an admirable trait.

To be fair, that might not be the reason that Deion is upset

He used to be on a NFL on CBS studio show. He left after they had the temerity to offer him a 30% raise
