I thought this was a joke, but after further review this is correct. The top four ranked conference champions get byes, so CCGs will remain important.

If that's how they are going to do it, you'd have to think that tough OOC games are going to go away. I mean look at that schedule down the stretch. It's brutal.

Penn State, Clemson, UM/Bama winner to get to, say, UGA in the finals? Holy shit.

They have to fix that CCG auto bid shit.

Penn State went down 3 spots in the final week without playing.

Former #9, #10, and #11 did all win CCGs, however. Clemson, K-State, Utah.

Very strong narrative this year: it's OK to lose a conf championship game because, at least, you played in one.
I don't recall that narrative being so strong in previous years.

I think it's just unusual circumstances. TCU was 12-0 going into the CCG and lost in OT. The alternatives to replace them had 2 losses.

There's a dumb movie with dumb Ashton Kutcher in it about this. It sounds like you've thought about the "Butterfly Effect" enough that you really don't need to watch it. But I'm with you. I have a similar story. My life would probably be totally different if my parents hadn't gotten divorced. So it's kinda tough to be mad at the guy for that. (I have enough other reasons to not like him.)

Anyway, back on topic: Fuck *ichigan
I saw it, it was pretty forgettable, the only thing I remember was some fat fuck

I've been thinking about the definition of success conversations now that we've been through the scenario where we could have lost to tsun but won a NC. It's no longer hypothetical, we actually went through it.

I can get with the CFP > The Game worldview more than I could before to be honest. I'm not all the way there yet but if I am honest with myself, had we beaten UGA then done a similar number on TCU, that bullshit on 11/26 would have a whole different place in my memory.
