College Football Playoff (2015-16 Season)

And if they get credit for beating up on each other, why don't the teams of the BIG?
Only one undefeated team in the BIG because they're all so powerful that they knock each other out.

Because the B1G doesn't get 10 teams in the preseason top 25 based off of nothing but speculation, like the SEC does.

Exactly. Preseason polls need to be done away with period.....if they want to have an AP and Coaches poll at least wait until halfway through the season to put the first one out so you at least have SOMETHING to base it off of besides speculation.

But how would the media hype those early season games? "#6 Auburn takes on #9 Mississippi State, Saturday on ESPN!"

Eight has always made more sense. Can't see how to work six, as some have suggested. Hard to imagine many years when there would be valid arguments for any teams past #8. Just don't have that many undefeated or one-loss teams by December.

If we have 5 "power" conferences then let's cut the crap of trying to figure out which one isn't powerful enough - 5 conference champs, the committee selects 3 at-large teams, seed them 1-8 and have at it.

Ooohhhhh, you mean the Top 8? Similar to the Top 4 + the subsequent 4 playing in a "Big 6 bowl"?

It's almost like that format is already in place...weird....

Media already starting to lay the groundwork for the scenario I have been espousing:

How Ohio State could overcome a lack of conference title to reach CFP

For the record I put OSU's odds at about 35% because that is what the odds are UNC beats Clemson and yes, I believe that is all it will take.

CFP doesn't want a UNC, Stanford or any other off brand if they don't absolutely have to take them.
