May have to consider moving Iowa up on style points.

So the CFB playoff criteria also compares teams by similar opponents and how they played against them in order to rank the teams. Well if North Carolina wins against Clemson and we are comparing similar opponents wouldn't that Virginia Tech game be another tiebreaker, North Carolina went into Overtime with Virginia Tech and won 20-17 while Ohio State won in a blowout 42-24.

I just don't see us overcoming a P5 champ w/ 1 loss

We should be able to overcome Oklahoma in my opinion. Mid Major Conference Champions with one loss shouldn't be in consideration.

IMO the Big 12 Championship carries the same implications as Ohio States co-division championship this year - neither will be playing in an extra championship game.

I would love to see the committee put OSU at 5 and make a statement to the Big 12 (again) to get a damn championship game. They are the only P5 school rolling the dice with the ability to get multiple championship winners into the top 5/4 because neither ones would have to play an extra game and possibility suffer a loss against a 2-3 loss opponent in a championship game.

Florida beating Bama would be an epic upset, Florida is probably the worst 10 win "Power 5" school I can ever remember watching.

I don't think Bama is as great as the media would make you believe, but they are still a lot better then Florida.

UNC beating Clemson is pretty realistic though, UNC has been on fire lately and we all know Clemson loves to flop when the pressure is on.

I hope we get the chance to find out! Go tar heals

Say things do go awry this weekend and UNC beats Clemson. The committee is going to have to send a message to somebody and some situation, the question will be what behavior will they reinforce?

Stanford - If they win they are a conference champion, which has seemed to be the biggest clout from the committees decision. However, they also are a 2 loss team that should be penalized for losing twice. Put them in and they are saying "it's okay to lose multiple games, just win your conference and you are in."

Ohio State - played sleepy-eyed all season but managed to win a share of their division. They played a solid OOC schedule but lost on a last second FG late in the year. Putting us in waters down the notions of winning your conference is everything.

UNC - Though they have only 1 loss, they also have played 2 FCS opponents and lost to a terrible SC team. Putting them in would reinforce that you can schedule the NC A&T's and Delaware's of the world, romp through an extremely weak conference division (and conference) and still get in.

At the point the Committee has to be praying that everything stays status quo so that next week is easy on them.
