College Football Playoff (2015-16 Season)

While Swinney will always have an inside track on the playoff, given that the ACC is a trash conference, you have to wonder if he topped out last night. I'm not sure he'll have a more talented team anytime soon, and last night's game was there for the taking. For a top-tier head coach, at least.

Unpopular opinion: I like Nick Saban as a HC and respect the run Bama has made

Feels good knowing we slayed the beast last year. Feels good knowing we are also a beast everyone wants to slay. Next season needs to get here ASAP. Go bucks!

Much like 05, we know the best team played in the Fiesta Bowl.

Clemson returns a lot next year, including Watson, so they'll have a shot if they can get through the ACC (Florida State more notably). After Watson leaves, who knows. Clemson's closer to Oregon in talent level than OSU or Bama if the recruiting rankings are to be believed.

I dunno about that. Clemson has put a ton of guys into the NFL in recent history. They have more active players than we do.

Dear Dabo and Brent....

First I'd like to congratulate you for successfully Clemsoning in your final game. You did save the best act of Clemsoning for last, and it was an epic meltdown.
I had this all ready to send to you guys the other day, but it must have gotten stuck in your junk mail folder...

I'd like to introduce you to someone who now, needs no introduction. He's a player on the offensive side of the ball.
Let me introduce to you...

The Tight End.

Now, I know what you are saying...."What's a tight end?" Well, I'm glad you asked that question!
It's hard to fathom, but tight ends have been around since the 1940s. Yes, that long! I know, right?!?

What their job is to do is to block like a lineman, but they're faster than linemen and have better hands - with the size of a lineman. They're some of the most gifted guys on the football field. In the 1960s, John Mackey and Mike Ditka revolutionized this position. Both of those guys are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Now, Alabama is coached by one Nicholas Lou Saban, Jr. He used to coach for powerhouses Kent State, Toledo, and the Cleveland Browns at one time. He learned his trade from some guy named Bill.....Belle....Belli....something with a B in it. That guy loves to use tight ends in football games. He has a professional wrestler who comes and plays tight end for him from time to time.

I know you guys may not believe it, but Alabama has Tight Ends. Wow, right? One thing I would caution you about - tackling Derrick Henry is important yes. I think you may want to watch out for whomever is playing Tight End for Alabama.

I don't know that FSU will be much better next year, I don't think they have much at QB. They do have Dalvin Cook back. Not sure about their defense, I think they lose a few key guys. Bottom line, the ACC is Clemson, FSU, and a bunch of trash; so the better of those two teams will have a clear path to the CFP for a while unless Fuente can reinvigorate VT. UNC was a fluke this year, so I'm not counting them, though I guess it's possible a flukey team could bubble up now and then.

Urban doesn't seem to involve the TE much either. So this isn't just a problem at Clemmers.
