Number of draft picks since 2004:I dunno about that. Clemson has put a ton of guys into the NFL in recent history. They have more active players than we do.
Clemson returns a lot next year, including Watson, so they'll have a shot if they can get through the ACC (Florida State more notably). After Watson leaves, who knows. Clemson's closer to Oregon in talent level than OSU or Bama if the recruiting rankings are to be believed.
Does anyone have a clue as to why Dabo was yelling "Our ball!!" at the ref after the Bama onside kick recovery? Is he really that big of an idiot?
I read somewhere (hell, may have been in this thread) that he was arguing that since it wasn't an onside kick and never touched the ground, his guy had a right to catch the ball without being interfered with. Which is correct, but the Bama player didn't interfere with a Clemson guy. He just outright caught it.I wondered the same thing. It seemed to me that every time something in the game went in Alabama's favor, Dabo's move was to take his headphones off, raise his hands in the air, and run onto the field yelling at the refs.
Whoa man you forgot about Mark Richt at Mia-ahahahahahaha just kiddingI don't know that FSU will be much better next year, I don't think they have much at QB. They do have Dalvin Cook back. Not sure about their defense, I think they lose a few key guys. Bottom line, the ACC is Clemson, FSU, and a bunch of trash; so the better of those two teams will have a clear path to the CFP for a while unless Fuente can reinvigorate VT. UNC was a fluke this year, so I'm not counting them, though I guess it's possible a flukey team could bubble up now and then.
Number of draft picks since 2004:
YEAR .. OSU .. CLEM
2014 .... 6 .... 5
2013 .... 3 .... 4
2012 .... 4 .... 4
2011 .... 5 .... 6
2010 .... 3 .... 5
2009 .... 7 .... 4
2008 .... 3 .... 2
2007 .... 8 .... 5
2006 .... 9 .... 3
2005 .... 3 .... 3
2004 ... 14 .... 2
TOTAL .. 62 ... 43
1st round picks: OSU 16 (5 in 2006), Clemson 5
Even if you take out 2004, where we set the record for most picks in a single draft, and go back an even decade to 2005, we still lead 48 to 41 in total picks and 13 to 5 in first round picks. Now, to be fair, Clemson has a slight edge on us since 2010, but that will likely be erased in the upcoming draft in a few months...

He apologized on Twitter today. It also came out today he was playing on an injured knee. I think they should have played his backup. That RT is hot garbagd... never seen someone get whipped that badly before. Like maybe borderline this may feel like a loss for that kid.
Yeah I get that... sorta wish the kid would've just took responsibility and not have given excuses. He could've pulled himself had he not been good to go and that's on him for staying in there and creating problems. He apologized on Twitter today. Also, OJ Howard was wide open because Clemson had to run blitz on short yardage plays due to Henry. The guy that was supposed to guard OJ was in the backfield.
FWIW, Jackson didn't say he was injured, he just said he had a bad game. A "source" said he was injured.Yeah I get that... sorta wish the kid would've just took responsibility and not have given excuses. Yeah that's what bama forces you to do cash... load up and stop the run and when you do that it only takes 1-3 shots to make teams pay over the top. To me I credit bama the play calling because obviously the secondaries eyes were focused on #2
Uh....in last years Championship game, did you even NEED a TE?
Yes, they return Watson, but I suspect they'll lose both of the d-linemen that lived in Alabama's backfield for most of the night.
