College Football Playoff (2015-16 Season)

Something that occurred to me while I was thinking about how the semi sites could lead to a home field advantage. If a Big Ten team were #1 and the #4 team were USC or UCLA, would the Big Ten team choose to play them in the Rose Bowl (assuming that was a semi site that year) rather than move the game to a neutral site. Sadly, I think Delany and the B1G AD's have been licking Rose Bowl ass for so long that I bet they'd choose tradition over common sense.

5 turnovers. 130 yds on two crazy plays, one of which should have been a penalty. You make no sense. I don't dispute the pass defense sucked in 13 and 14, that's why new coaches were brought in.

5 turnovers is a problem on your offense -- their offense still scored over 40 points. Almost entirely through the air, b/c they sure as hell weren't getting anywhere on the ground.
Your QB's ineptness doesn't negate your DB's ineptness... Bama has 2 very glaring issues. Both of which were exposed against the only team they've played with a passing threat.

I think I remember you from last year. Based on my memories, and the fact that I just realized this is off topic, I suggest we continue this in the Bama thread so I can stop cluttering this topic. But I don't think I like discussing with you because you don't make sense, so it won't continue.

MTSU and aTm have a passing threat by the stats you use.

Yeap, I called Devin burning #4 last year and you balked. How'd that work out for ya?
I'm perfectly fine if you prefer to live in denial about Bama's weaknesses... hope all Bama fans have the same attitude. Just means there will be no pressure to fix it as you slowly turn into another LSU/Wisconsin/Georgia... amazing run game, amazing run defense... highly suspect pass offense and defense.

It's hilarious listening to the talking heads go on about how Sparty got screwed being #7 after "beating" Michigan. They're still in the poll logic era. The committee, correctly, looked at it and said "yeah, you're undefeated. But we all saw how that game ended in Ann Arbor."

Notre Dame is more comical then Bama IMO (bamas schedule ranking is over inflated though yes).

who have they really beat? USC is average at best....Temple? Needed a last second TD to beat a bad Virginia team. And a loss to boot.

Take Notre Dame off the jersey and you likely have a team ranked in the 12-20 range.

Could be that they went to the wire with the #1 team, on the #1 team's home field. Not saying I agree with the ranking, but my guess is that would be the committee's justification--ND had a shot with under a minute to go to tie the game with a two-point conversion.

I'm not sold on Clemson being as great as the committee thinks they are at the moment. People want to talk about Ohio States sloppy game's..... Clemson nearly lost to Louisville and NC State was in the game with them pretty much the whole way. (Scoring 40+ points)

And the committee will rightly position them where they need to be should they handle their business the rest of the year.

The archaic poll era logic is alive and well still.

Maybe but they still won, and isn't that all that matters at the end of the day? We'd all be fucking pissed if Ohio State got screwed based on such logic. The thing that bothers me is that the committee seems to be applying their own logic selectively. How is Bama ahead of Florida despite the Gators having a better win AND a better loss? SOS? Then why is Baylor ahead of Michigan State despite Sparty playing a better SOS? The eye test?
