College Football Playoff (2015-16 Season)

Welp, been sayin' for a long time that Notre Dame is a greater threat to Ohio State than Michigan. The Buckeyes can always take care of business by beating Michigan, but Notre Dame is rarely on Ohio State's schedule.

The CFP wants money. That money is only available from TV and only if the games they set up can outdraw the Kardashians, Dancing with the Stars, and 16 and Pregnant. Notre Dame could play North Abilene A&M and half the East Coast would watch it. ergo...

It doesn't really matter. If Ohio State wins the national championship again this year, in two weeks they will begin a gauntlet no one else can claim to have to finish out the season. Going by current rankings and assuming the teams win all their other games, they will have played #7, #17, #9, #2, #1.

LSU plays the same amount of ranked, but not all in succession

Sorry the facts don't match up with your spin job.
I believe his point is they are a decent pass defense this year compared to years past. This is only reinforced when You cite about 6 games showing their horrible pass d and only 1 is this year. Honestly they don't play an elite passing team this year so they won't be tested until bowl season if at all. My thought is Bama would lose 3 games in PAC or b12 but would lose only 1 in sec big or ACC. They are built for their league. It's about matchups and they are built for who they play. LSU game is going to be one of those glorious 6-9 snoozers with my guess is Bama on top. Just my opinion but lsu is the only top 7 team that I think Bama would beat in a bowl game. Could only hope they draw clemson or baylor in the playoffs and see if they can win a shootout. I don't really care where the Buckeyes land. All games would be tough and we aren't gettingbhome field advantage against any of them. I'm happy someone stripped the 1 from this team. They really needed it.

I've been reading a lot of posts about people are upset that Alabama and LSU both garnered a ranking. Really, those two teams matter none.

The team you need to keep an eye on is Ole Miss. If they win out, it may very well hose the entire SEC playoff chances. If they win out they have already beaten Alabama, then they have beaten LSU, and finally Florida (representing the weakest division of a conference in all of the power 5). Heck, even if Florida beats Ole Miss in the SEC title game, it would take a lot of campaigning to get Florida in over ND, OSU, Clemson, or Baylor/TCU - if those teams are still unbeaten/1 loss.

I suppose, but Ole Miss has about zero chance of winning out. [Censored], they could lose at home this weekend to Arkansas, and I wouldn't fall out of my chair in surprise.

The best case for Bama is to win out and have Ole Miss win out as well. That way they get in the playoff without having to win the SEC Title game. No way Ole Miss gets in with 2 losses over a bunch of undefeated or 1 loss teams regardless of being SEC champs. My guess is undefeated B1G champ, undefeated Clemson, undefeated Big 12 champ, and whoever wins LSU/Bama Saturday. I'd really love to see an OSU/TCU matchup in the playoff.

It's hilarious putting 2 teams that play each other Saturday in the top 4 this week since one of them won't be there next week. IMO if you are a Power 5 undefeated team you are in the playoff. Only way 2 SEC teams make it is if everyone in 2 of the B1G, Big 12, and ACC end up with a loss.
