...on a several minutes-long rant about recruiting, sort of defending Tressel for this year's class against the annual signing day Chicken Littles... sort of defending... still took his shots against the BigTen.

Maybe its because he's on the radio when I drive to work every day, but for some reason Cowherd is growing on me a little. Still pretty damn annoying, but I don't want to, say, slash his tires anymore :wink:

I know that Colin has pissed off pretty much everyone here at least once with Buckeye slander...BUT, that being said, it's the guy's job. He slams everyone for everything...give it time. If Colin always gave his honest thoughts, he'd probably be out of work.

Take his thoughts and opinions for entertainment and that's it...then you'll like him a lot more. If you think he's never stuck up for OSU or any Buckeye...check out his piece on Greg Oden/Kevin Durant before they were drafted. He has also spoken very highly of JT throughout his career. Colin is often wrong and extreme, but to me, he's funny regardless. You just can't take what he says too much to heart. The guy keeps his career by pressing people's buttons. It's all cyclical anyways...in time, he'll be loving on the Big Ten just like everyone else will. In time...

Actually, all he's done is suggest that Oden is brittle. Near as I can tell, he's right. Sadly.

One time I was listening he was basically making fun of Oden for having another season-ending injury. I can't see how it's entertaining to make fun of someone for being injured.

I can't say that I hard that particular rant, but I can say I've heard several of his rants about Oden over the past 2 years....most of them have suggested that it's a strong possibility that he'll rarely be healthy. And that the similarities to the Bowie situation are eerie.

I would agree that it's not particularly funny, unless your a TSUN fan or hate the Blazers, but that's not what I typically hear him say.

As for the rest of Cowturd, let's face it, here's there to make you react, much like Rome is. It's not for news, it's for reaction. He's getting one.

Biggest complaint I have about Cowherd is he assumes his audience is retarded. His analogies are weaker than a punch from an infant and he uses them constantly in order to try and convince his listeners he's correct.

"You see, trying to take Derek Jeter out of the Yankess lineup is like trying to take nutmeg out of the pancakes...it simply ruins the batch, it does!"
"USC football is the hot, seductive pinup model that can get any player they want. Texas is still good looking, but really is more of a girl next door. It's true!"

Is Ohio or Buckeye fans the only people who listen to this show?

My gosh, it's every day. I realize Buckeye fans move the dial on everything, but my gosh (since Cowherd opened up recruiting talk the day after speaking about the Buckeyes and Notre Dame).

Predictable too (two large fan bases and "Hey bosses, look how many e-mails I got Thursday). And I just aided to this stuff by posting.
