Wisky is taking forever to make a hire. Who are they targeting and is their procrastination going to hurt recruiting?

I'm sure they think they're getting:

But it will more than likely be:

Strange that Wisky has won three straight B1G titles. Yet I think of them as a program in disarray.

Only because of Bert, really.

He's the whole reason for the perceived disarray. When you suddenly leave a program, allowing the staff to be picked off by everyone else, you really set a program back.

It'd be the same way if Tressel had left a few years earlier than he did, and Meyer wasn't available, waiting in the wings, or if Meyer had declined... We would have had a mess.

I hope Wiscy can get it together and hire someone good, because the Big Ten needs another marquee program that isn't Michigan or OSU. Not saying they're on that level, but they've been incredibly strong in that #3 spot for the past decade... I'd like them to be in a similar position going forward.

Is this all a big ruse by Alvarez to come back to coaching? He will say he interviewed all of the best names he could find, but his passion for the University is too great to turn the reins over to anyone else.

I will just say I would be very surprised if he did. Earlier this week he said he thought about it for about five minutes and decided against it. You'll see a new coach pretty soon.
