Before Gill coached at Buffalo, he was working in the front office for the Packers.
I think in Graham's case, Gus Malzahn, his OC, is the one who is going to benefit the most from this. Graham has always been a defensive guy, and Tulsa's defense is nothing to write home about.
Kansas State looks ahead to attracting new football coach
By JEFFREY MARTIN, The Kansas City Star

"The Big 12 North is about as scary as an episode of 'Barney.' You don't need a defense to succeed. We've been known to condone scheduling nothing but chumps out of conference. And if you want to recruit nothing but jucos, we're cool with that, too.
"What they won't tell you: We trap-doored the last guy after 2 1/2 seasons. And the talent pool around Manhattan is shallower than Paris Hilton."
A different outlook was necessary. Dennis Franchione, the former Texas A&M coach who admits having an interest in the vacancy, insists K-State is "a great job."
"Coach Snyder made it into something special," Franchione said. "It's in a great conference, and the people - the K-State people I know are some of the most understanding people in the world."
The pros, according to Franchione, are the program's recent tradition as a selling point, the expectations of being successful, and Manhattan, which he deemed "a wonderful town." As for the cons, it was the same perceived issues that have been trotted out against K-State forever - not a long, rich tradition and because of Manhattan's isolated location, recruiting is difficult.

Mike Locksley would be a great hire for the Tigers and would be a big blow to Illinois if they lost him. If Locksley does get the job, would be interesting to see if Dabo Swinney gets interest from the Illini to replace him as OC/recruiting coordinator...

The other plus side for hiring Locksley is below:

I work for a financial firm that handles a number of high profile college football coaches and just thought I would pass this along. Jim Tressel has been approached by at least one (and maybe a second) NFL team to gauge his intetest and he had no interest at all.
Also:
-ND is looking for a way (money) to move in another direction.
-Michigan is standing behind RR for one more year. Emphasis on one.
-BK at UC is moving on.
-MD at MSU is holding fast and it will take alot to get him away.
-Get used to JoePa. All those rumors were entertaining.
-LK may be on the outside looking in because of his style.
