For all you youngsters, there was a time when Georgia Tech wasn't a total dumpster fire. No, they haven't had any real sustained success since the days of Bobby Dodd, but would you believe it if I told you they actually shared a National Championship? Yep, the year was 1990. Shared with Colorado, who oddly enough, has also been a dumpster fire for a long time.

Ga Tech and Colorado split a NC and the Reds won a fucking World Series.

I’m still amazed that we saw a new year in 1991. I was sure that was end times.

Sources: Trent Dilfer set to take over UAB football team

Former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer is expected to become the next head football coach at UAB, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel on Tuesday night.

Although a deal hasn't been formalized, the sides are expected to come to terms in the upcoming days, sources said.
