The result is a huge divide where money rises to the top... and emphasizes the elitism in new ways. Throw in a hostile PD, the absolute necessity to recruit out of State, no conference opponents in Texas ..... what kid is gonna leave Cali coast for that? The PAC is loaded with top rate schools in big cities like Seattle, LA, SanFran where 'elitist' is usually just the empty grumbling of feudalist loving trash living in 3rd world states. Unlike Boulder, where the city is kept artificially small in the face of massive expansion across all of Denver metro in my lifetime.

Much as it made sense to dump the little10 from an academic and cultural sense, nobody needs the PAC to poach some of those schools more than CU... they desperately need a pool of talent other than CA.
If they were smart, theyd start a rivalry with Baylor. They could call it Gnostics vs Creationists. Buffs vs Bears.
I say Baylor bc since the Ken Starr / Briles debacle... CU would have a chance to consistently win away and look good in Texas.

Report: Texas Tech AD could turn to Brent Venables if Kliff Kingsbury is out

The hot seats are extra toasty this Thanksgiving weekend as several head coaches around the country will be fighting for a win to save their jobs. One such coach in the crosshairs is likely Texas Tech’s Kliff Kingsbury, who kept his job last season with a late rally but suddenly finds himself right back in the same fight with his team on a four-game losing streak.

While it remains to be seen if Tech would dismiss their head coach — a successful alum of the program, it should be noted — speculation is already turning toward who might be in line for the job if it comes open.

Well when you give up 40+ points a game and completely ignore defense, when your offense isn't that good, you have issues.

Eh there offense is fine when he didn’t have his 3rd stringer in. It hasn’t been the same since Mahomes left yeah but you’re talking about a first round pick.. going Defense in the Big12 is stupid... they did they when they hired Tuberville..didn’t work out..but it gets Venabels outta clemson
