Do you Mike Gundy take the UT head coaching job to have and to hold as your very own through SEC beat down after SEC beat down
Do you Mike Gundy take this fan base in delusional times and at prison rodeos
Do you Mike Gundy take this Athletic Department who won't support you and throw you under the bus in times of hypocritical Social Media uprisings
Do you Mike Gundy take Peyton Manning to rub his junk in your mullet through thick times and thinning times
And lastly Do you Mike Gundy trade one color of orange uniform for another.......

Yeah......I didn't think so......

Someone should pull some Billy Bean algorithms and see some correlation between a coaches first year turn around success is relative to the rest of their career. Is it predictive of anything? If so, then if I’m an AD then I move quick on a young HC very early. Before they make much of a name for themselves. Look at Urbans first year at Bowling Green going 8-3 in year one compared to 2-9 the year prior. That shit just doesn’t happen by accident. To me it’s amazing he was still around the following year when he went 9-3. And even more amazing that Utah was able to have him at all. Point is, if I’m somebody like Miss State, ASU, Arky, etc I grab a coach in his first year that looks hot and give him all he needs to be successful. It’s more of a risk NOT taking a guy in his early, early career because if you dont grab him early then you are fighting for scraps. Give him every reason to be loyal to you. You are big enough to hold him a decent amount of time.

As a continuation——tOSU as big of a blue blood as there is, had the confidence in Tressel to pull the trigger. Now he had a history of success but that was a pretty damn big jump. And it worked out well. Just cracks me up when I watch Tennessee looking like 2 monkeys trying to fuck a football. What a glorious disastour. “but, but, we DESERVE a big name coach. We are Vol Nation damn it!”

Hahahahaha. What a bunch of morons.
