I know the natural response is to defend Pond Scum, but you don’t have to do that man. Nobody here is judging Pond Scum. We all know what he means to this organization. NFBuck got caught up in the moment, he crossed a line. I’m sure he knows that and feels terrible. What’s really important is that we all value each other for who we are.

The last thing we need is another blowup at the Christmas party. Everybody knows what happened last year, it’s ancient history.

Why would he want to leave? He has a really good thing going there. The Cats have nine wins, and they're going to get a pretty decent bowl bid. Why leave that to go rebuild someone else? Besides, it's not like Northwestern isn't paying him. He's making over $3 million a year.

Iowa State takes one of the biggest coaches off the market by extending Matt Campbell

Campbell led Iowa State to a 7-5 record in 2017

One of the big names of the season is off the market.

Iowa State announced Monday that Matt Campbell has agreed to a new six-year, $22.5 million contract extension that goes into effect immediately. Cambell's annual salary will increase from $2.1 million to $3.5 million, and the new contract includes $1 million for raises for his coaching staff.
