Freshwater must really want to be a HC again. I'm thinking no major programs want to give him a chance after the way he burned Tennessee and flaming out in spectacular fashion at USC.
Guess he sees FAU as a chance to rehabilitate his image? Howard Schnellenberger made them quasi-respectable for a few years (bowl wins in 2007 and 2008), but since Schnellenberger's last year (2011), FAU is 19-53. He'll certainly have his work cut out for him.

I must be the only one that thinks a Butch Davis vs. Lane Kiffen matchup to be quite entertaining, on the field and on the recruiting trail.
Of course, then you realize it's FIU vs FAU and that loses a lot of steam - but....in NCAA football on my Xbox this is sometimes a big game!
Still.....you can win at FIU and FAU. Cristobal was thissssssss close to launching himself somewhere meaningful and FAU has a good AD (okay, we're a little biased).....and it's C-USA, and not the C-USA of like 2002, but today....loaded with bangers such as ODU and UTSA and UTEP and Charlotte....it's like they took 2000 era basketball cinderellas and added any UT-reject to make a conference.

No pics because it was on an old phone. But I moved my brother down to Clearwater for aviation mechanical school and we met a few FAU alums at a bar. They would put the girls in the pic to shame. And the only reason I remember they were from FAU is because I yelled out "Hootie Hoo!" afterwards. I'm a weird/funny drunk.
