Mark May, who I have no respect for, said that Wannstedt should be canned because he has not taken his alma mater to the heights where he believes it should be. Maybe he would like the job and then I would not have to listen to him.

I would think playing in the Big Dump would inflate the win total...

I do agree it depends entirely on perception though. Wanbucket was 35-26 entering this year...decent for an Illinois or Minnesota, bad for an Ohio State. Depending on what sPitt people think they should be depends on what kind of job he's done. I love piling on the fucker, because he sucks as a gameday coach. But Pitt also went through a decade of epic sucktitude in the 90's (37 wins in 10 years) so he's been better than that. They have regressed this year, but I'm not sure they've regressed that much.

Problem for Pitt is that they've already got the only candidate for the job that considers it a "dream job." Wannstache would be a lifer. Any other coach they get will view that as nothing more than a stepping stone.

Pitt fans are tired of the 'stache. I told them when he got hired that he would recruit well especially in the area, but his gameday coaching sucked.

he was a great def coord at Dallas...sucked as head coached in chicago and miami and continued awful head coaching decisions at pitt.

wonder who is next on their list..............
