A mural in N.C. State University's Free Expression Tunnel to honor women's basketball coach Kay Yow, who died Jan. 24 after a long struggle with breast cancer, was defaced Saturday with blue paint and offensive language.

While the act of defacing a memorial mural is certainly despicable, the placement of said memorial mural within a 'free expression tunnel' is idiotic and asking for it, imo. Surely a more appropriate locale for a memorial can be found.

I would also agree regarding where the memorial was placed but the people who defaced that memorial should have to pay the price that Kay Yow paid before she passed away. That is just sickening.

In all seriousness (unrelated to Gator), who in the world could possibly think it was funny? It's worse than bad taste...it's dowright disgusting and mean. So no death penalty, but maybeee....cleaning all of the Penn Station bathrooms with their toothbrush(es) and then being forced to brush 2x a day for a week. That ought to do it.
