I got a hunch Naylor is going to pan out. But even with counting him, the list of competent big league bats in the lineup would be 4. Dolan is avoiding spending on hitting like it is the plague.

I guess at least games will go by real fast this year with the amount of .220 and under hitters they will have in the lineup

I don't really keep up with baseball. However, when I thought for a moment that Cleveland had taken on the name in the thread title, I nearly choked to death laughing. :slappy:

Wow, shows the market movement in COVID times. 4 years ago, in the same situation, I bet he gets a multi-year deal for 15 or so

Well, go look at the deal JD Martinez got 4 years ago at age 29... And tell me they're super different dudes. (I mean I would give Martinez the edge but... I'd say its pretty close to your point... He got 5 years 100 million and some change)

He had another season of team control and was a non-tender. In a normal year, he returns to MIN making his projected ~$8.5M-13M. What COVID did was make most of 50/50 non-tenders all but a given and the longshot non-tenders (like Rosario) had realistic chances of being let go. If a normal season was expected for 2021, I think a player like Tyler Naquin is given the benefit of a small sample size. He was due to only make ~$2M and when healthy, he's usually productive.
