Cleveland There’s Always Next Years (2021 Season)

It must have been the chiliy weather the past couple days:wink: because the Indians are putting the wood to the Tigers today.
At least they didn't get swept.

I try not to read too much into April performances, it's a long season, but I don't see the horses on this roster to hope for much more than a .500 team, and that may be a stretch. Time will tell, I guess.

For having the league's lowest payroll, the front office has done quite well in building this team. I assume Dolan has been ordering the salary lopped off to the max, which really handicaps the GM. With that understanding, it has been a great job by the FO in trading strategically to get decent young talent and filling most of their holes. All things considered (including the financials), the only really bad trade that they made was Yandy Diaz for Jake Bauers. The Kluber trade was a year too late, and the return was minimal as a result, so you could say that was a bad trade but they still got a badly needed flamethrower for the pen. They have gotten young, cheap, controllable talent in all their trades.
