Kevin Warren is an ass
I think he has benefited greatly by just pitching from the stretch. Takes out so many other moving parts. I think we all knew that he had a great arm with really good stuff but could never bring it all together.
On another note, I do not understand why Francona did not leave Kluber pitch to one more better in the eighth inning Friday night. It is not like 5-6 pitches was going to blow out his arm and if he would have given up a hit he could have always brought Shaw into give up the tying run like he did anyhow.

He looked pretty competent for a month or two in 2011 before getting hurt. We'll see if he can sustain it.

5-0 win tonight against the Twinks....House goes 5 1/3 scoreless. Aviles 3/4 HR 2 RBI.....mediocrity will sink back in though, right?
Has Hagadone finally became a legit reliever or is this just a fluke period? He actually looks quite competent this year.

Wait, they claw back over .500 and win another game? I think we're in uncharted waters here, fellas.
And I'll say the same thing that has been echoed here numerous times...what a difference a manager makes. Tito makes some boneheaded decisions from time-to-time, and may not be a great tactician, but he wrings the most he can out of his teams...as long as there's no beer and chicken involved. Looking up and down this roster, and the stats they're producing this year, I'd think this team should be 10-15 games < .500 right now and on their way to 90 losses.

Who knows. He's one that as long as he pitches downhill and stays within himself... he can throw strikes and hes fine. He still spins himself off the mound trying to throw it by people, hopefully Callaway shows him occasionally that he throws harder when his mechanics are good. But, yeah, I mean its pretty simple, he's not walking guys he needs to get after this year, so, doesn't get in trouble... stuff isn't problem.
