If these mediocre mopes are going to make a run now would be the time do do it in this upcoming stretch through the rest of August

2 vs Arizona
3 vs Baltimore (the only team above 500 till they play the royals at the end of the month)
3 vs Minnesota
3 vs Houston
3 vs Chicago

Then 3 against KC to end the month

That's 11 games against chumps heading into that Royals series, but sadly they've flopped against the chumps this year

If they could pull their head out of their ass and beat teams they probably should they are only 5.5 out, The Tigers are spiraling, can the Royals keep it up at this pace that's yet to be seen. But the opportunity is there it's just can the hapless manage to be less hapless.

There's websites outside of BP?

That's pretty much my thought. My online sports diet consists of BP, some occasional DeadSpin, and whatever interesting stories I click on from Twitter.

Concerning the Indians...bunch of no good bums. I allow myself to be pleasantly surprised when I see a winning score from the team Twitter feed, let alone if I actually get to see a game on TV down here. Otherwise I just assume (rather safely) that they're being the typical bums I expect them to be these days. In other words, 5-6 sounds about right.

I'm going out on a limb here and guessing they go 5-6 at best in those 11 games, then maybe manage to win 1 in KC. I'll be going to the Saturday game in KC, so you can go ahead and mark that down as an "L".

They're due to get hot for a bit again. I pick em to go 8-3, including taking 2 from KC. Then they'll start September with another 2-6 to even it all out again.

Zach Walters (you might remember him from the Assdribble trade) with a walk off home run to give the tribe a 3-2 win in the first game of the doubleheader. Nice outing by Bauer, which means he will now unleash three beluga turds in a row.

Game 2 scoreless in the 5th.
