Cleveland Indians Thread of Malaise (2014 Season)

Yep, time for Pestano to go. As for Asdrubal, let's just say Lindor can not be ready fast enough for me. Seriously, I don't expect even .280, hell give me .250=.260 with some timely hitting now and then and I'd be happy. Can we be the first team to use a designated fielder?

I don't want to jump the gun, but assuming we are in contention in July, we better be searching hard for some pitching and a power hitter before the trade deadline.

I don't understand how goofs like Atchison get spots over guys like Lee, Barnes, Hagadone, etc. Maybe the 27-year olds will suck. Maybe they'll do their best 2011-12-era Pestano or poor man's Cody Allen imitation. I'd rather let them sink or swim than burn innings on 4A guys like Atchison, Mark Lowe, etc.

Our attendance is an absolute joke. Come on people, this team made the playoffs last year and yet we can't at least get 18,000 a game at this time of year? I get it's a weekday game and it's only April, but jesus christ it's embarrassing. Our [Mark May] basketball team averages more than this a game.

It's very simple really... Cleveland isn't a baseball town. Sad... but I have come to accept that the only way the park will be filled is if the Browns move again or the Indians win the World Series... even then... it will never be like the 90s again, that was a perfect storm.

Not to mention that todays youth could care less about baseball and rather spend their time focusing on the assets playing in that joke of a league called the NBA.
