Cleveland Indians (official 2012 season)

Well, everyone (myself included) have been riding the Krotchrot this year, but tonight was a perfect example of what happens when you kick the ball all over the infield vs. playing good defense. This team is built to win 3-2, 4-2, and 4-3 games, and defense like that in the 8th versus the abortion that Detroit threw out there all game are good examples of why Kotchman is still valuable if he can hit at all. I still maintain this team is a LF away from actually being a serious contender this year if Ubaldo and Bat Masterson can get it figured out even 2 of every 3 starts they make.

McAllister looked good tonight too.

Many of us laughed at Detroit for thinking they could get away with playing three fat fucks in their infield. It has bit them in the ass a couple times so far, and at this point, they aren't getting the offensive production they need from Fielder and Peralta to offset the fat-fuckness.

Well when the fatfuckness are hitting 3 run bombs, they don't have to worry as much. But when they don't hit homers and guys aren't on ahead of them (esp. with Jackson out) the team is basically Verlander and a farce.

while detroit may ultimately wake up and win the division, right now, they're a struggling ballclub.

their infield defense is a wreck. their outfield defense is far from special.

if fister can maintain they have a very good 1-2 punch in the rotation, but their pen hasn't been as good as last year.

they are a team with a lot of good parts that aren't functioning as a whole right now.

Have taken 2 from the Tigers which I was worried about. Verlander on the hill today doesn't look promising, but if Masterson can keep them in the game then you never know.

12:05 first pitch. I'll be checking my phone.

It is kinda scary... everyone wanted/needed the Indians to win the first two games assuming they would lose to Verlander. But really... now that we won the first two... EFFF it... I want the SWEEP!!!

Time to be greedy Tribe fans. A sweep kicks Detroit while they are down, especially with their ace on the mound today. It should also give the Indians more confidence because last year our head to head games against Detroit killed our season last year. We take the sweep here then next time we face them there won't be that fear like there was last season that Detroit will sweep them and either catchup or put distance between us in the standings.

Hopefully there is a good sized afternoon crowd there today. GREAT weather... GREAT pitching matchup and the bonus of going for the sweep to one of our main competitors for the Central Division title.

if you saw the pitching matchups were ubaldo v. porcello, mccalister v. fister, and masterson v. verlander, and you were told the series would end in a sweep, how much cash would you have laid down on detroit walking out with 3 wins?

This season is starting to feel special.

Dunno about that...

But, this was a big, huge, monster sweep.

Eh, that's all I'm gonna say, the next 4 sentences out of my mouth feel like immediate jinx type shit.
