Cleveland Indians (official 2012 season)

These schmucks even suck at sucking.

Not to worry! All will be well now; they've called up the additional reinforcements from Columbus. Another dose of David Huff, a 32 year old utility guy and yet one more waiver wire relief pitcher are just what the Tribe needs....to guarantee that slide into last place.

Paul Hoynsie of the Plain Dealer made the best point of the season a few weeks ago: the Indians spend tons of energy trying to improve the 20 through 25 spots on the roster but rarely work on the first five. :!

LaBusta Update: Since being recalled by the Tribe on August 24, LaBusta has had 2 hits (both singles) in 17 PA, with 6 SO, 1BB and 1 HBP. The Tribe has gone 0-5 in games in which LaBusta has appeared.

^^ Heh, now that is funny! Can you fill in who the shopped in faces are? Thanks for the laugh.

There are now a couple guys putting these out on a pretty regular basis. That one is from this collection (and there are several more that are as good or better!):

The other guy has not put as many out, but here's a sample:

The only problem that I have with Perez's statement is that when his contract is up he will want more money or he will be history if he is not history before that.
DETROIT, Mich. -- That didn't take long.

Closer Chris Perez rejoined the Indians on Tuesday following the birth of his daughter and is already taking shots at the team's ownership and front office. In a FoxSports.com story about the success of small market teams such as Oakland, Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay, Perez was critical about the Indians ownership and front office.

Asked about the difference between the Indians and AL Central rival Detroit, Perez pointed to Indians owner Larry Dolan and Detroit owner Mike Ilitch.
from the same article,I have no idea what Antonetti is smoking.
"While we work to understand various perspectives, we strongly disagree with Chris' comments," said Tribe GM Chris Antonetti. "Nonetheless, we are not satisfied with our recent results and our entire organization remains committed to fielding winning teams and that is the standard by which we will continue to operate."
And please just let this dog lay.
Look for Travis Hafner (back) to start taking batting practice with the team when they return from this 10-game, 11-day trip on Sept. 14

i think antonetti isn't quite grasping what perez is stating. his comments don't necessarily relate to a total payroll. it's more akin to the indians' constant need to sign several bargain barrel deals and reclamation projects. for the money cleveland spent on sizemore, and someone like casey krotchrot, they could have had willingham. but they were too concerned about the 3rd year of his deal.

this organization isn't really concerned with winning. it's concerned with giving a thinly veiled half assed attempt to appear to want to win in hopes that it will placate the fans.
