Cleveland Indians (official 2012 season)

This is, officially, the worst Indians team I've ever seen. 1991 was bad, but at least there were some pieces, and some prospects on the farm. This organization is in the worst shape, BY FAR, that I've ever seen it. Barring some unknowns blowing up on the farm, or a sudden dramatic shift in FA philosophy, they are years away from being competitive. Time to promote Antonetti.

the thing is, they don't have to be. they have 5 every day spots handled in CF, RF, C, SS, and 2nd. If you want to put chisenhall at 3rd, then 6 of your 8 every day fielders are handled. it's more than obvious that they are going to roll with a pitching staff of masterson, jimenez, mcallister, carrasco, carmona/hernandez next season.

as such, there is no reason why they can't sign one o r two decent guys to play lf, 1b, or dh. but they won't. what they'll do is sign bargain bin guys, then deal choo next year, and perez at some point after offering him arbitration salary. then it will only be a matter of if the firesale will include masterson and cabrera.

Down 4-6 in the 9th, so once this loss is final, it's a 5-26 run. That. Is. EPIC. :slappy:
I don't think 5-26 (against not the toughest teams ever too) is not only epic, but a real sign that these guys, who make anywhere from 5 to 20 times more than I do, have quit. That is on Acta. But that's all I can pin on him. This organization is in shambles. Shame.

LaBusta only went 0-1 plus a HBP last night, later leaving the game. No word yet on whether he was really injured by the pitch, which apparently got him on the hand?

Great picture of LaBusta getting plunked here (sorry, I couldn't get the pic to load here...if you can post it here please do so!):

Also, Duncan Donuts was DFA before yesterday's game; Gomez was brought back but this time as long relief instead of as a starter.

Not reading many rumors about the Tribe dumping anybody in any waiver trades. Anybody seen anything?

At this point I am actively rooting for this team to lose 100 games. From in contention at the all star break to 100 losses has to be the most epic collapse in the history of MLB, right?

Let's get this done fellas!!!!
