Fausto/Roberto's agent has started the rehab job for his client's rep. He's produced a vid spot showing Fausto/Roberto telling kids in the Dominican Republic to ignore the millions of dollars Roberto was paid while using Fausto's name and just tell the truth. I luv how they somehow "found" a bunch of baseball playing kids who just happened to each wear different caps from nearly all of the different ML teams, all together on the same little baseball field where Fausto/Roberto was passing out free t-shirts. Sheez, now baseball players are getting to be just as bad as politicians with being "politically correct" and having everybody represented in their video ads.

The Indians will sign infielder Cristian Guzman to a minor league contract with a spring training invite, tweets MLB.com's Jordan Bastian. He took his physical today and the deal will likely become official tomorrow.

Guzman, 33, last played in the Majors in 2010 with the Nationals and Rangers. He sat out the 2011 season due to a shoulder injury, he told Bastian. Guzman is a career .271/.307/.383 hitter who has appeared at both middle infield positions.

And here's the end of the Garland story, at least in Cleveland:

Garland, who underwent rotator cuff surgery last year with the Dodgers, was scheduled for the physical Monday. He did not take it and the Indians and Garland have parted ways.
