Cleveland Indians (2019 Thread of Indifference)

I have been out of the country since before Opening Day.

I returned last night, walked into a local establishment about 9:50, looked up at the TV in the bar. The Indians game was on. The first (and so far only) pitch of Indians baseball that I've seen this season was Santana's walk-off home run. I should probably quit while I'm ahead.

The Indians placed right-hander Mike Clevinger on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a right upper back/Teres major muscle strain. Right-hander Nick Wittgren was recalled from Triple-A Columbus ahead of Tuesday's game against the Tigers in Detroit.

Manager Terry Francona told reporters it will be 6-8 weeks “before we’re even looking at him picking up a ball.”

Clevinger left his most recent start, Sunday against the Blue Jays, after five innings. He has not allowed a run in 12 innings pitched over two starts to date. It is his first career trip to a Major League injured list.
