Pestano is just worthless this year...better to shut him down and let him heal and get it figured out, because right now he can't get anyone out. All the talk of a SP, which of course they need...but they need bullpen help in the worst way.

This. Was talking to one of my kid's friends dad's (who saw ferris pass otu at 31 flaovrs last night, I guess its pretty serious) at the old fireworks display, who was on the "better pick up a starter" band wagon, and I'm like, they need to get some bullpen help because they can't affored to lose the good starts they get... and if you really think about a "good start" as anytime you're winning or tied when the bullpen gets it... the offense more or less can get you there more than haf the time... further, the pen has taken over a lot of games before the 7th lately... so, they need help, one starter isn't gonna fix that.

Yeah Pluto had some frightening stats over the weekend on the number of times that Indians starters besides Masterson go at least 6 innings...it's about 30-40% of the time, which is a disaster. Can't give away the ones we do get, and we will need more arms that aren't just as bad as the starters if we are going to lock down the 6-8th innings. Yes, Perez sucks, but he proved yesterday that if he as a comfortable lead he can get 3 outs...at least sometimes. But the Albers/Shaw/Hagawallpunch/Smith/Pestano shit pizza is not going to get us through the second half, even against teams we should beat.
