Cleveland Indians (2013 Season)

Looks like...barring a 7-0 finish by someone else (BALT, NYY, KC)...that is it 3 teams (TB, CLE, TEX) battling for 2 spots now. If we can get the next 3 at home, I predict we will be in the top spot going into that 4 gamer in Minnesota, probably by 0.5 and 1.0...then things will really get interersting.

i think going 5-2 gets them in. 6-1 probably nets the top spot. if they go 4-3 things get dicey.

I'm pretty sure we're talking about two separate things. And/or you don't actually know what /s means. You see, that is shorthand for sarcasm, meaning the previous message was not mean to be taken serious. It was a joke about how you guys went into complete meltdown mode a couple months ago and I actually got flamed for basically saying that you shouldn't give up on the season. But I was properly informed that you guys suck, and even if you made the playoffs you'd lose because of your record against teams in the playoffs. Hence, my sarcastic comment about caring about making the playoffs, due to your unavoidable demise.

Well, the Tribe is 25-8 versus the AL West this year, including 5-2 against Oakland. Hopefully they can land the top Wild Card spot and play the one game at home. Also, gotta hope the As can somehow catch the Red Sux for best record and the Tribe would have first round against the As instead of the Red Sox. Wishful thinking all the way around.

Wouldn't mind seeing us go to Boston; I could see the team pulling something off for Tito.

We suck against good teams...that has in no way changed. They put a graphic up the other night that Indians have the best record in the majors against teams under .500. So we curb stomp the shitty teams and shit the bed against good teams. Everyone has admitted the September schedule could keep us in it for the sole reason that we do curb stomp crappy teams...we knew that 3 months ago. So yes, it will be nice to make the playoffs, if we do, and anything can happen in one game. Beyond that I see their chances as the same they always were.

Oh, who gives a shit... its Sept 23rd, and not only are there meaningful games, there are are on, for now, the right side of the line. (So, yeah, it will be nice to make the playoffs.) Hahahahahahahaha. (Someone should remind Ubaldo that going lights out in the playoffs will get him a big raise from some idiot team... indeed, I'm sitting here thinking to myself how wonderfully his emotional make-up would do in the Bronx)

all you can do is get in and hope that masterson and ubaldo can carry you to some wins and you can cobble together enough runs to make things interesting. hope a few guys get hot for a few weeks and see how it ends up. regardless, if cleveland wants to be serious about contending beyond this year, it will be good for these guys to get some kind of playoff experience.
