If they have any postseason aspirations, tonight was a MUST WIN. Statistically-speaking, Lackey has been Talbot-esque this year. You cannot lose that kind of game.

very true...i saw we have Bedard on Thursday now....he has been getting torched lately....and we will not face lester this series which is good....beckett tomorrow followed by wakefield

Wee fuck my buttons...they get their asses handed to them by the fucking Royals and then go out and spank the Red Sox. 1982 called, they want their league back  Hard to figure this team out, but it sure has been fun to watch after those lean years.

Eh, they were facing the Sox version of Mitch Talbot...wouldn't read too much into it. But at least they did what they were supposed to do.

No I know, the SP us a fucking gas can...but they did get some runs late against the pen and they did get some clutch hits...I had almost forgotten what all of those were.

fenway park and the red sox may be a blessing in disguise for the tribe hitters...nothing like hitting a 300 ft HR to right field to boost your confidence which is something alot of the tribe hitters have been lacking

so is David Huff now a capable pitcher or did the MLB just forget he sucks?
He pitched really well in C-bus, but I need to see him string a few more good starts together before I see him as more than a depth option long term. Remember how good Carrasco was for about six weeks?

Eh, Carrasco has electric stuff...they just need to reign him in. He's just unbearably streaky at this point. Pitched really well last September, then started slow this season, then was great for six weeks, now has been the worst pitcher on the staff for a month. If they can find a happy medium, he's a good #4. I'm not convinced Huff is more than a junkballer on a hot streak just waiting to fall back to the mean.
