Brantley with a 3rd straight really good game at bat after a month+ slump, so that's encouraging...

Yeah, and they've been getting worn out over the last month because of a lot of bad SP.Bucklion;1950780; said:Hard to get mad at the BP, they've been saving our ass all season.
He was pretty good for a couple of months last year, then was horrendous in the second half. Had a couple decent starts early this year, and now has fallen off a cliff. There's definitely a pattern with him. He's rotation filler, nothing less. I think this debacle seals his fate and he's gone in the next week. Cannot fathom going with him anymore when you have 4 young guys pitching really well in AAA.Talbot is the worst pitcher at any level right now, he would be 4th in the rotation at Kinston...WTF happened to him?
That IS disturbing, because without his glove, he's totally useless. At least it doesn't sound like Chis is hurt all that bad. Just hope he isn't shell shocked after being plunked.Hannahan has suddenly forgotten how to play defense
Grady hasn't been good on any consistent basis since 2008. Take away his torrid start to this season and he's been absolutely horrific. Hard to figure what happened to him. He always struck out a lot, but he at least took some walks and could provide fairly consistent power and a repectable avg. Now he strikes out worse than Dave Kingman and can't get on base for shit. He's about due for another DL trip anyway, so fuck it.and Sizemore has forgotten how to hit...the only thing both were good for anymore.
Cabrera at least provides a small modicum of offense. Kearns, well, that's just a matter of lack of options right now and it's going to inevitably get worse when Sizemore gets hurt again...which should happen any day now. I'm sure he'll tear a quad or something lowering himself into the hot tub.Oh, that and the fact that Orlando Cabrera and Kearns still seem to find their way into the starting lineup.
Pomeranz promoted
The Indians have promoted High-A Kinston left-handed pitcher Drew Pomeranz to Double-A Akron. In 15 starts for Kinston he went 3-2 with a 1.87 ERA, and in 77.0 innings allowed 56 hits, 32 walks, and had 95 strikeouts. He is currently in Arizona to take part in the Futures Game on Sunday, and then after that will travel to Akron and join up with them on Wednesday when they leave for a road trip to Harrisburg. Where he will slot into the Akron rotation or who he may be replacing is unknown at this point. Neither will likely be known until later this coming week.
