Cleveland Indians (2011 Season)

Fuck you, Talbot. Worthless batting practice yard ape.

I'm willing to bet we have 3-4 better options in the minors than that turd and his 6.05 ERA and .335 OBA...with a little improvement he could be Ken Schrom, or maybe Rich Yett. Of course more ole' IF defense set up that 2 run homer...

It's seriously time to DFA Talbot. Enough is enough...any one of Gomez, McAllister, Huff or Barnes are a better option.

coming into today's start, there were 63 starting pitchers in the AL that pitched at least 50 innings. talbot ranked 60th or worse in just about every measurable pitching metric. he may legitimately be the worst regular starter in the AL. I have to think this is his last start for cleveland, and a move will be made after the all-star break.

One can only hope as I see no objective reason to keep him around for another start. Any one of those four I mentioned in Columbus are legitimately better options...it's pretty much, statistically speaking, impossible for them to be worse.

Someone explain why Talbot is even in the major leagues? I know I don't have any insider knowledge but throwing anyone else out there would be better than this sacrificial lamb.
This is the same franchise that gave Jeremy Sowers nine lives because he once-upon-a-time threw back-to-back shutouts.

Pestano's been pretty dodgy the past couple times out, hopefully he's just tired and needs some rest with the AS break coming up...
