Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Horrible win v Knick's last night.

Knick's are taking tanking to new heights.

What a screwed up league.

The elite players are interested in playing together in 3-5 cities.
Half the league tries to lose.
The leagues marque player runs an agency.

Agreed. The NBA is way down my list of leagues I give a shit about. It’s definitely going to be a lonnnnng lonnnnng time before the Cavs are good again and even longer before they ever sniff a title. They already fucked up step #1 by drafting that Alabama dude. Another LeBron isn’t coming out of a local NE Ohio area again. Give up people.

"Though the Cavs could simply just waive Smith and part ways with the embattled veteran, they are hoping that a trade would net them a first round pick in return."

His contract has utility for a team looking to shed unwanted money off their books. If he’s waived by June 30th, he’s only owed a little over $3 million. The Cavs better damn well get a first round pick for that big of a lifeline.

Rick Pitino has spoken with Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert about potentially becoming the team's head coach according to Hall of Fame basketball reporter Peter Vecsey on his Patreon page and later corroborated by Marc Stein of The New York Times. The notion of hiring Pitino as a head coach in the NBA is stunning on several levels.
