Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Cavs looked great today without Kyrie. OKC on the road is no joke and we beat the fuck out of them for the most part.

Delly played great in his place. Not sure of his stat line, but he made an early impact. He had 3 or 4 assists in like the first quarter. Much improved this year. Bargain player.

Tristan also played great and is looking like a bargain too. Great defender and a better rebounder. Exactly what this team needs. Gotta love some Radiance.

Love had maybe his best game as a Cav. Sure Kyrie was out, but I give Lue some credit here for using him better. Got to the line a ton and was dominant on the boards.

LeBron was LeBron.

Love our bench. Our 2nd line could beat many of the Cavs teams from the LeBron in Miami era.

If we ever get totally healthy. . . . .

Shittiest part of the game was no Austin Carr and Freddy McLeod. I can listen to Austin call games all day. I'd gladly pay $10 - $20 for DLC content to get AC announcing hoops on my Xbox.

Sad to see Andy hook up with Golden State. Can't wait till he gets the standing O at the Q in the Conference Finals. One of my favorite Cavs of all time. Another great glue player. I'd almost be happy to see him win a ring this year if it didn't come at our expense.

This is probably my favorite Cleveland team in any sport of all time. Never thought I'd say that after watching the Tribe with Manny, Thome, Belle, the Alomars, Omar and the like. Playoffs can't get here soon enough.

Lue seems to be getting more out of Love than Blatt. I don't think it's a coincidence that Love has looked much better since the change. The fact that Love was 0-4 from 3 and had one of his best games with the Cavs shows that he is being used much more effectively. Hopefully Kyrie can get over the flu for the game tonight because this team has some serious depth issues with him, Shump, Mo, and Frye out. They have 2 empty roster spots as it is. If Kyrie isn't able to play tonight they need to bring in a PG on a 10 day contract just to give them another body.

Hello big lineup! Man did they take off with that lineup in there or what. I like it. GS has no answer for that lineup although I'd also suggest that we would be hard pressed to guard them on that end either. I'm very interested to see what that kind of lineup looks like with Frye in there as well. Range is extending and they are running more. I've been saying for a long time that they need to get running more often. The halfcourt in my opinion has to run through Kevin Love as much as anybody for his passing and outside shooting ability. The pick and pop for 3 between LBJ and Love should be devastating but we don't see it very often.

Still not sold on the defense all of the time. I hate the lazy looks they give once in a while. There's at least 10 guys that can legitimately play on this team now so they shouldn't ever be playing tired. Would love a pest like Aaron Craft out there from time to time just to dismantle the flow of the game on defense. Delly provides that in spurts but we need more of that.

Sad day to see Andy sign with GS. Brutal

Hate to see Andy go, but I'm actually glad he was picked up by GS.
Even if GS wins it all again...at least one of our guys will get a ring...
I also don't expect him to be the difference in beating the Cavs.

I love the addition of Frye, we need versatile shooters if we want any chance to beat GS.
Frye is shooting 39% from 3 and he is 6'11"

Current year 3pt averages:

JR 40%
Delly 42%
RJ 40%
Love 36%
Kyrie 29%
Lebron 27%

Frye 39%

Interesting Kyrie is only shooting 29% so far but shot 41% from 3 last year. Lebron shot 35% last year.
