Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

And I have nothing against the guy, but let's face it...once it became obvious their shooting was like trying to shove Peter Norths dick into a screen door keyhole, the Bulls quit in the middle of the 4th. Not a great reflection on the coach.

Well, it was after this sequence... no one was scoring but the Bulls were still playing D (even down 13) and then this happened, and bam you're down 20:

10:48Matthew Dellavedova makes 5-foot jumper75-60
10:2675-60LeBron James blocks Taj Gibson 's 5-foot jumper
10:25J.R. Smith defensive rebound75-60
10:18Matthew Dellavedova makes 22-foot jumper (Iman Shumpert assists)77-60
10:0277-60Jimmy Butler misses 16-foot jumper
10:0077-60Jimmy Butler offensive rebound
10:0077-60Tristan Thompson blocks Taj Gibson 's 1-foot layup
9:57LeBron James defensive rebound77-60
9:47LeBron James makes jumper79-60
9:3279-62Aaron Brooks makes driving layup
9:11Matthew Dellavedova makes 25-foot three point jumper (LeBron James assists)82-62

Gonna be very interesting to see the defensive match-ups the Cavs utilize in this series. Teague is very quick and good at getting to the basket. Can't have a crippled Kyrie Irving trying to check him. If you have Shumpert then defend Teague (and Shump did a fantastic job on D-Rose throughout the Bulls series), the conundrum then becomes having Kyrie guard Korver. They run him off screen after screen and I don't think Kyrie can keep up. That's going to lead to a lot of open looks. I can't wait to see how Blatt sorts all of this out.

Hiding Irving on the SF (like they did with Dunleavy) won't be an option either, as DeMarre Carroll has been a consistant scorer during the playoffs, and he will abuse Irving physically. They may have to play Smith-Shumpert-LeBron-Thompson-Mosgov or Delly-Smith-Shumpert-LeBron-Thompson if Kyrie is still hobbling around. I think the biggest problem for the Cavs exists on the offensive end. Atlanta has been in an offensive rut throughout the playoffs, so hopefully that helps the Cavs.

Atlanta did an excellent job denying Kyrie and LeBron's drives to the rim in the regular season. The Cavs may be reliant upon another big series from Shumpert, Delly, and Thompson if that's the case. The biggest advantage the Cavs have is LeBron over Carroll, but the Hawks aren't afraid to double team. The series will prove to be challenging at times, especially with Kyrie's injuries, but I like the Cavs in 6.

Put Delly on one, Shump on the other, let Kyrie rest up, and JR in spurts for some points?
Pray Lebron scores 50 a game?

Ironically a prominent NBA writer just reported he would be fired at the end of the playoffs.
Why I would hate to see that happen, I really believe that it could especially after reading Pluto's column today regarding the fact that Blatt does not really have any friends in the NBA and my take is that Lebron calls all the shots so if he wants him gone Blatt will not be back next season.

Lebron has always called the shots. That's why I've never heard Blatt criticize Lebron. He knows better.
I think Blatt is very good. Only thing he is lacking is familiarity with the NBA, which wont take long to get past.
Thibodeau is a garbage coach, with the depth his team had, they should have beat the Cavs.
Yet they couldn't even stop Delly, in an elimination game.

There's only one coach in the NBA who can win with depth alone, and he's in San Antoinio. Everybody else needs stars. Outside of Rose, who is a shell of his former self and only a star once every three games now, who are their stars? I have no opinion on Thibodeau, but their roster is not built for the postseason and their is no universe in which their team has any business winning 4/7 games against this Cleveland team, even with the injuries.
