Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

There's only one coach in the NBA who can win with depth alone, and he's in San Antoinio. Everybody else needs stars. Outside of Rose, who is a shell of his former self and only a star once every three games now, who are their stars? I have no opinion on Thibodeau, but their roster is not built for the postseason and their is no universe in which their team has any business winning 4/7 games against this Cleveland team, even with the injuries.

Chicago is a half court grinder team, which is perfect for the playoffs. The problem was that lebron kept Butler in check and shumpert basically closed rose down after game 1. Had Chicago not been stupid and got the 3 seed, they'd be playing the cavs in the ECF right now.

this comment absolutely makes no sense to me

I am far from an expert on anything NBA related but if we are going to start relying on Delly to perform anywhere near the level he did in Game 6 against the Bulls...we are screwed. But thankfully I don't think that is the plan. Let Kyrie get near 100%, have JR step up (I think he is more than capable of blowing up, from when I watch he has been outstanding), Shumpert has looked solid, and LeBron will have to keep carrying a big role for us. The big question mark to me is how Moz will handle Horford. He has had moments but honestly, he has not looked like the same player in the postseason that I saw in the regular season. Maybe I am wrong but it seems the offensive and defensive rebounds have gone down and he is not holding ground in the paint. I was beyond frustrated watching him in Game 5 but I missed most of Games 1 and 6 unfortunately.

All being said, I still am cautiously optimistic here. I really feel good about the leadership and attitude of this team. Plus I honestly really like Blatt and he's made some mistakes to be sure, but he is a HUGE improvement over Brown. I want him to stay in Cleveland regardless of the outcome of this series. And if anyone else goes down, I am sure Cardale Jones would be up for subbing in as a 3rd stringer. He seems to excel in that role and he is after all from Cleveland.

The NBA is rooting for Cleveland to advance to the Finals. Who are they going to promote for ATL - Kyle Korver? They want LBJ. In the west they can pump Curry or Harden.

Would the small lineup work better against the Hawks? I wouldn't be surprised to see the Cavs roll out Delly, Smith, Shump, Lebron, and TT for some minutes. It isn't like any of the other bigs are getting minutes so Lebron has pretty much been the backup PF since Love went down.

Well, there's no way you're not gonna see plenty of that look... that's essentially the crew that blew out the Bulls (as mentioned, in Chicago, facing elimination) in game 6. Basically with 2 starters.

Lebron with 2 early fouls sucks. Shooting is not very good but completely ruling the boards which is necessary. Defense needs to be better and work for better shots on offense.

Down 6 but really played poorly compared to 71% shooting for Atlanta.
