Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

LeBron was amazing, but I wish Lue had given him some rest. He played 46 minutes tonight and he only has 46 hours to rest before the next one.
No way I blame Lue for that. His next best options for lineups would have been

Hill
Smith
Korver
Nance
Thompson

Or

Hill
Korver
Green
Nance
Thompson

Either way, they would have lost by a minimum of 5-7 points if LeBron even sat 5 extra minutes. Hill had the best game in a Cavs uniform, so hopefully he’s figured something out and it carries over to Game 7. And as up and down as Love has been, it would be huge to be able to have him back for Game 7. Rotating Love/Nance/Thompson wouldn’t be too hateful, and I think Nance has earned himself some PT with his defense, and efficient scoring chances.

Shooting guard scares me the most, Smith hasn’t been able to find his rhythm offensively, but has stayed on the court due to the defensive plays he’s capable of making, and Korver can’t seem to find any better rhythm either. Would love to see Hood have a lightbulb turning on game similar to Hill’s performance tonight. The Cavs are going to need anyone capable of scoring getting minutes if they are able to advance.

Appears that the biggest indicator whether we're in the game or not is George Hill... if he's ON, we're in...
Now if somehow JR could visit a hypnotist today (Saturday).. and bring the old JR back, he'd sure as hell help

We're a medical mess right now
Tatum has now crashed the heads of our top two players... LeBron and Love

Tough to be more non-consistent than Green and Clarkson... plus JR and Hill

I disagree. The Cavs were -3 in the non-garbage time minute LeBron sat in the second half. They made one three and Boston made two. I think they could've survived for additional time by putting the best defenders in and swinging the ball around the perimeter. The one basket they got while LeBron was sitting was a designed play for Korver. It's just a matter of having someone drive and kick and throw the ball around the arc until someone's open.

In any case, they really need Love back for game seven just so they can afford to sit LeBron for 8 minutes. Set Kevin up on the elbow and let him use his elite passing and creating skills. I know LeBron can handle the insane minutes workload (although that's how Kobe blew out his Achilles), but this is what happens when he can't sit:

Can't see them doing it without Love. Need JR to go 6/9 from three.
