Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

The only realistic chance the Cavs had was to win all three games at home and then a no holds barred, barbed wire cage match in Game 7. When they lost Game 3, it was all over.

And why did the Cavs lose Game 3? Because they couldn't close out a 6-point lead with 3 minutes left in the game. That's where the regular season counts - the Cavs blew a lot of leads down the stretch during the regular season because they were "bored" or whatever, and those bad habits cost them Game 3. Maybe there's a reason why Golden State never takes a night off.
They are also gassed because Lue is afraid to sit guys during meaningless regular season games. And I don't mean giving LBJ a night off, I mean playing him 30 minutes a game or so. You can't run a track meet at the end of a long season when he has the 3rd most minutes all year.

The NBA is a joke. Ive said this before here. Theyve completely sold out for super teams and there is always going to be one who is a notch above the other. The regular season has become mostly unwatchable hell the leagues playoffs were unwatchable this year unless youre a Cleveland or GS fan.
Th y are trying to recreate the Lakers/Celtics from the 80s...and they are failing miserable because there aren't the number of great players there were then.

I thought he signed a 2 year deal... anyways.. can't do much recruiting when you're already over cap.
He did, but don't be surprised if rumors "leak" that he might be seeking opportunities elsewhere if next year doesn't go the way he wants. I imagine he has an idea of where he wants changes made...the question is are they realistic and will they actually make the team better, or will it be his buddies. A good way to ensure he never wins another title is to bring in Carmelo, for example

The nba has been a joke for a long time, this year was just the worst it's been. And it ain't getting any better.

I'm glad the Cavs won Cleveland a championship. But I found myself less and less interested in professional basketball as this season went on. I barely watched any regular season games, and by the time the playoffs came around I followed exclusively on social media. The game is unwatchable, even as a Cleveland fan. Don't see much changing next year either.

But yeah, anybody that supports LeBron and is bemoaning the GS title this year is a bit hypocritical. LeBron essentially kicked off this whole "SuperTeam" craze with his butt buddies Wade and Bosh. You could say Garnett/Pierce/Allen were the original "Super Team", but at least they didn't collude years in advance to join forces.

Bottom line, the nba is trash. From its infrastructure, to its personalities, right down to the game itself. Thanks for the championship, Cavs; too bad it couldn't have been the clowns or Tribe.

You could say that for sure. GS has taken it to a whole new level though. It's mostly the NBA's fault however for allowing a structure where a top 5 player could actually sign with a team that already has 3 other top 20 players.

I don't see any change anytime soon, even if Cleveland/GS break up another super team is just going to form in it's ruins.

The NBA is the only major pro sport that I could care less to follow the regular season besides the team i'm a fan of. It's even worse when I could start caring less about the playoffs as well, what's the point in investing any time when you already pretty much know the outcome?

The actual basketball is frustrating as hell to watch a lot of the time as well, the NBA has basically separated from actual basketball and formed it's own set of rules.

That being said.

If you can somehow pull of a deal where you trade Kevin Love and are able to pick up Paul George........do it.

Love was about worthless in this finals.

Stay far far away from Carmelo Anthony.......try to get some bench players who arent rotting corpses and maybe have a better shot next year.

this team, to me needs to be stripped and sold for parts outside of Lebron and Kyrie... everyone else is hot garbage.

Was listening to Windhorst on a Cleveland radio station this morning and they were already talking about LBJ next year and that he (LBJ) is going to keep his options open because it's a 'business decision to him.' Then went on to talk about if, IF.... IF, Indiana would trade straight up Love for George, Gilbert wouldn't do it unless George would sign a multi year contract then get traded to Cleveland. But George won't do that unless LBJ is going to be here long term (read: sign extension). Which he won't do so that he can keep his options open next year.

So as I listened; LBJ wants to go where the best chance to win championships will be. But due to his business decision, won't commit long term so the Cavs can put them in a position to win more championships.

so basically is the same shit show as before he left the last time... no players wanna get dumped in cleveland without lebron and lebron "wants to play the field" so he wont commit long term... so its the same clusterfuck as the last time... great.
