Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Not sure why you think a three has to shoot the three. Of the top 50 3 point shooters in the league, the only good sf is Durant and he's like #38. MKG's shooting will get better, just like any good NBA player gets better (shooting) as he gets experience. Hell, Lebron only shot 29% his first season.

MKG is a stud. I'm not buying into any of that last minute, find flaws in a guys game bull[Mark May] (not from you, but from the interwebs). He'll work on his shooting and it will be a strength.

I'm not trying to find a flaw in his game. He works well in an offense with a good shooting PG like Deron Williams. He's a bit redundant in an offense with someone like Kyrie or Tony Parker.

If the Spurs and Heat (unintentionally) have taught us anything, it's that chemistry and fit are important when constructing a team.

I'm still lost on why all the love for Beal. Buford had much better numbers his junior year than Beal did last year. Are they basing Beal's rating on what he didi in high school?

Beal

Buford

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/41744/william-buford

They are basing Beal's rating on a couple things, what he did in high school and what he did in the tournament. In addition (I am just saying what I read about him) that the offense in Florida did not suit him. He basically had to force himself into the offense at Florida as the other guards basically kept the ball to themselves. So his shots had higher degree of difficulty.

But like ArmyVet said, Beal plays the type of game that translates to the NBA very well. And his shooting stroke is pure.

But after all that is said, he is #3 on my board behind Davis & MKG.

As we entertain ourselves going back and forth, I keep thinking how thankful I am that Danny Ferry is no longer involved in the draft for the Cavs. I think whoever Grant picks will work out well for the Cavs. From what I'm reading, there may be six centers in next years draft, and the Cavs will have at least two, maybe three first round picks.

So you don't like a Davis/Varejao front court?

Worst case scenario: Cavs get the sixth pick and the first five drafted are:
Davis
MKG
Beal
Drummond
Robinson

Who do you take at six ? Lamb? Barnes? PJ3? Someone else?

Someone piss in your Cheerios today? I'll vote for Barnes, but hope it doesn't come to that. Noted I only feel good about the first 4 picks. I'm not a fan of Robinson.

You are correct, Robinson is 6-8 barefoot, and 6-10 with shoes on.

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Thomas-Robinson-5496/

The same website has Beal at 6-3 1/2 with his shoes on:(
Dwayne Wade is 6-4 so who cares. Plus, he's probably only 19 so he could still have a little growth left possibly. Robinson gains two inches in shoes? Those some thick soles. I'm not buying he's 6'10. I'll give him 6'9.
