Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Also, I'm passing on Chris Anderson 10 out of 10 times. No thank you. He was a great energy big 2-3 years ago, but last year was dreadful. Too old. Can find plenty of cheap young bigs that would be willing to hustle, defend and rebound on a LeBron-led team. Maybe that are even less of a liability on offense as Birdman.

not saying your wrong but please enlighten me with these young bigs your talking about

The Hornets officially completed their draft day deal with the Cavs on Saturday, sending Brendan Haywood and the draft rights to Stanford forward Dwight Powell to Cleveland in exchange for Scotty Hopson.

It's unlikely that Hopson will play for Charlotte as his $2.45 million salary slot for next season is a team option. This move was more about Charlotte ridding themselves of the $2 million owed to Haywood for the 2014-15 season. Haywood missed the entire 2013-14 season with a fractured foot, and he is not a fantasy option.

Yes, Kevin Love has 1 more year on his contract. So, either Minnesota gets rid of him before the trade deadline (I don't know when this is - mid/late season?) or they get nothing for him after he leaves next July.

I wonder where we would rank on Love's choices next summer. He might prefer a team like the Lakers, who have absolutely no trade assets to deal with Minnesota right now. Our Cavs will definitely be one of the top choices if his priority is championships.

I'm also against trading Wiggins. I'm not even huge on the Bennett/Waiters/picks combo. I think Love is a great player and we need a strong 3-point shooter for spacing, but I think the Spurs showed that having quality depth is important in today's NBA. Waiters, Bennett, and those picks are a big part of our future depth as of right now.

Bennett was pretty non existent last season with 4.2 pt avg and 3 rebounds per game. Its reported that he's lost 20 lbs and in better shape. Waiters avg 15 pts 3 asts. And 3 rebounds. But he doesn't have the best relationship with uncle Drew.

Even tho its only summer league with pretty weak competition, Bennett has looked pretty damn good...putting up full stat lines and hustling up and down the court....Wiggins looks better on defense then offense right now which is not concerning...will be interesting to see what happens to waiters...i think he is traded because we are so thin at center...Ray allen not retiring and coming to the cavs would also mean less shots for dion...i hope we can keep wiggins and not trade him for kevin love but I would trade him and some future picks for love in a heartbeat
