Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

What'd they get in return, a bag of basketballs?

The Cavs have reportedly agreed to send Alonzo Gee to the Pelicans.

Details of the deal have yet to emerge. Gee was reportedly moved to Charlotte in a draft day deal for Brendan Haywood, but that deal will now be restructured (Cleveland will still receive former LeBron James nemesis Haywood). This move is mostly about salary, and will allow the Pelicans to complete their deal for Omer Asik.

My free agent targets would include the following (and probably in this order):

Chandler Parsons - SF

Paul Pierce OR MarShon Brooks - SG

DeJuan Blair OR Jeff Adrien OR Jordan Hill - PF

All but the first and maybe Pierce should fall into the "affordable" FA category.

not getting Parsons... he's headed to Dallas or back to Houston for like $15M a year

If they find a way to get Love here, and get him to agree to an extension, without dealing Wiggins, I'm not sure how I'll react. I'm not used to competency from Cleveland front offices, let alone all-out wizardry.

A roster with LeBron, Kyrie, and Love along with the potential of Wiggins is a scary, scary proposition for the rest of the league. Of course, those salaries have the potential to thrust them right into the depth hell that the Heat dealt with this year. But, those are young guys, so you don't have to worry about one of them aging as rapidly as diane wade did and throwing off your mojo. The Heat won two titles with scraps for their bench, if those guys can stay healthy and gel, look out.
